Application Procedure And Warnings
BELLEZZA EPOXY- 999 is not an elastic product and, for this reason, supports need to be fixed and rigid rather than subject to movement beyond the normal oscillations and vibrations of the actual structures. Therefore, lightweight or fine prefabricated panel supports are not suitable. Before application, the joints need to be completely clean and any excess cement needs to be removed along the whole thickness of the floor tile. There should be no dust, oil or other adhesive substances present. It is also important that the joints and the grout used for laying the tiles are both dry.A very important condition for obtaining good results with BELLEZZA EPOXY- 999 is environmental temperature, as this will have a considerable influence on the application time for the product and the time it takes before it can be walked on;
in fact, at 20ºC (the ideal temperature for using the product without complications) the application time is approximately 30 minutes, adjustment time is around 60 minutes and an approximate time of 24 hours before it can be walked on; at 25ºC these values increase considerably, and allow for normal traffic after a period of 80 hours, while at temperatures above 30ºC the usage time is too short.
Areas of Use
Use for gluing floors and ceramic coverings of all types (except those with absorbent surfaces) up to 20 mm thick on: – food industry surfaces (dairies, slaughterhouses, wineries, meat processing or cheese-making factories); – swimming pools and tanks containing aggressive chemical liquids; – laboratory benches, kitchen surfaces, hospitals; – surfaces where a high-quality, hard-wearing easy to clean and attractive covering is required.
Preparing The Mix
BELLEZZA EPOXY- 999 is sold in 3kg buckets containing 2 pastes which have been pre-measured in the correct proportions (paste A 2800g and paste B 200g). These pastes need to be mixed thoroughly in the original container with clean, dry tools until a complete mix of both pastes is achieved. Do not add water or any other substance to the product as this will damage it beyond repair. During mixing, placing and sponge cleaning, always use rubber gloves, as Paste B is a skin irritant.
